How to turn off heuristics

Avast Help Center says:

"By clicking on the orange bars, you can adjust the level of heuristics sensitivity to Low, Normal or High, or you can turn it off completely."

How to turn the heuristics off completely? I can't find a way to do it.

Second question:

How to turn off the heuristics when performing a scan (full or quick)?

I presume you mean this for the shields?

Open avast! GUI --> navigate to the relevant shield --> click expert settings --> sensitivity tab --> Click on the 'orange bar' to turn it off.

How to turn off the heuristics when performing a scan (full or quick)?

I don't think this is possible with the default scans, but can be done if you create a custom scan and change the sensitivity in the settings for that scan.

...by editing avast5.ini and setting tasksensitivity to "0" (for the quick or full scan pre-sets)
