Windows 7 On-Boot Scan Disabled?
« on: May 19, 2010, 07:08:25 AM »
Do I have a virus or is the On-Boot not running for some other reason?

There's no boot scan for x64; if you don't have x64 then it should work. Look at the logs in that case. Noone will tell you whether you are infected with the amount of info you've provided.

I wish I could say I knew, but apparently On-Boot is not available in 64-Bit OS's.

I uninstalled 4.8 and reinstalled with the 4.8 Install file and suddenly 5.0.* Pro Installed... Why did Updates not do that for me?

Very frustrating when stuff requires a punk and kick...

They don't want people force-upgraded (considering the recent Avira v10 fiasco, that's a very wise decision BTW). You don't need to uninstall the previous version though. Boot scan should be available on x64 in 5.1
