It is not only that Google blocks you, but also NoScript's ABE gives a "request filtered by ABE; <LOCAL> Deny"
I think it is a form of censoring. One can use a tool to either sculpt or ruin, but taking it away just to prevent abuse is restrictive, well i.m.o.,
