Error Message
« on: July 01, 2003, 04:54:57 PM »
Getting error message on opening MS Outlook as follows:

The add-in C:\Progra~1\ALWILS~1\AVAST32\Avoutext.dll could not be installed otr loaded

Weirdly it works fine on my profile - the error message only appears when my girlfriend logs in!

Any ideas?

 1. Close MS Outlook.
 2. Delete avast32 item in
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Extensions registry via REGEDIT.EXE
 3. Search for and delete extend.dat file

yep, that worked! But doesn't it mean that Outlook is no longer protected?? The Avast plugin doesn't appear when I start Outlook now...

That dll isn't in Outlook. Think I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling...
