Pop-up window bug?
« on: June 27, 2003, 09:08:47 AM »
Greetings,

I'm using the latest version of Avast4 and I have a small question. I have the virus database set to automatic update and when the blue pop-up window appears informing me a new update has been installed and 'click here for more info', I click on the window but nothing happens. I'm curious if this is a known problem or just something on my end.

You're right, it doesn't work... :-\
It's because we kind of don't know what to display when the user clicks there -- maybe the About box (it contains virus DB info)...

But to answer your question, it's a know problem.

Vlk,

Perhaps you could show the summary box that appears after you manually run the iAVS/Program update. Or, perhaps you could change the caption in the pop-up window to just display 'dowload successful'. Anyways, thanks for responding and keep up the excellent work.

Cheers!

May be you could simply change the text of that message in the next update of the program ::)
