avastguard doesn't seem to working fine on ubuntu.
« on: May 30, 2010, 09:38:38 AM »
I installed avast!for Linux, avst!LinuxKernel Library and avast!guard and dazuko in Linux version 2.6.32-22-generic
Installing all the programs seems to succeed.

But avast!forLinux couldn't protect eicar.cam.
I think avast!for Linux doesn't works correctly.

When I looked at /var/log/avast4/avastd.log, I didn't see any problem in that log file
But in /var/log/avast4/avastguard.log, I found strange lines.
I don't know the meaning of "can't be scanned"

Hallo,
might be related to user-priovileges (soubor exists, guard reports it correctly, but avastd isn't able to access it) - could you try this avastd instead (where this flaw is fixed)?

http://public.avast.com/~cimbal/avastd_fix.tar.gz

in the case that this won't help, please, let me know.

regards,
