Firewall problem
« on: May 31, 2010, 05:17:04 PM »

XP Pro SP3

I have two computers on a local (cable) network, both have AIS 5 installed. Network is connected to the Internet via a NAT router, so I assume WORK mode is the right thing to use here. There is a problem in WORK mode however:

If I set the firewall on both in HOME mode, both computers can see each other over the network.

If I set A in WORK mode and B in HOME Mode, both can likewise see each other.

But if I set them both in WORK mode, B can see A, but A can't see B.

"Friends" settings are identical on both.

Any idea what can be wrong here?

lol ;D yeah...there aren't so many using it...

Okay, I'd love to help but that's impossible because although I run two systems with Avast 5, only one of them has got AIS, the other one is on the free version.
