Getting web shield to show sites being scanned
« on: June 01, 2010, 06:12:20 AM »
I just upgraded to 5.0.545 and was wondering where the option went to list out the websites as they are scanned.
The one where it would show them in a popup above the systray.

In the older version, which I'm guessing was a 4.x series from last year I think it was in some advanced settings of the web shield scanner, but I can't find anything like it in the new one.

Was it just removed or what?

Thanks!

This feature (popup message of scanned sites/files) is not there anymore on version 4. It was dropped (removed).
Why do you need it for?

the only way to see it is to open Avast UI and look at the traffic in the web shield section.

Thanks for the answer!

I just thought it was nice to see all the different things that websites load.
I found it interesting.

I don't think so.
VRDB, the popup message, scanning media while logging off or shutdown, skins...
Well, version 4.8 stop to be used in my machine for months that I can't remember all ;D
