TortoiseCVS: cvs [update aborted]: cannot rename file _new_example.html to exam

I got the following error when trying to do and update using TortoiseCVS via a cvs:

cvs [update aborted]: cannot rename file _new_example.html to example.html: Bad address
I reported it to TortoiseCVS here:

I disabled Avast for 10 minutes and tried again. It worked.

Therefore, one would assume there is a conflict between TortoiseCVS and Avast.

Can this be resolved without having to disable Avast or exclude the directory?
