Over 4 GB files in Windows\Temp
« on: June 12, 2004, 03:34:32 PM »
Need Help

I´m running avast 4.1 pro (VPS : 0424-3) on Win XP.
Since the last scan, avast puts several over 4 GB  files (i.e. unp16546452) into the Windows\Temp directory
So my question : How can I stop this ?

Hi,
just delete the files:
avast puts them there temporarily when unpacking archives; usually they get deleted after scanning.
Did avast crash or did you cancel the scan ?

did you scan a huge archive (ZIP, RAR, CAB etc..) ?

Use ccleaner on startup to clean temp directory  ;)

ok, i found the source of problem (actually this is not a problem :))
i use bittorrent to download a big iso file. so i guest avast control this file when download process running. when i disable autostarting bittorrent on bootup, temp folder goes normal.
