It should be here C:\ProgramData\Alwil Software\Avast5\log\nshield.log (Windows 7).

Yes, it is in that location but there is little worthwhile data in the log, just the date and time that it started and stopped, pretty worthless.

It really need to log the alerts, etc. but since there are no settings for the Network Shield, you can't get in and modify the Reported data as you can in the other shields which can be customized.

If the Network Shield does pop-up an alert, either pin it to the screen so you can get the info or right click on the avast icon and select Show last popup message.

The log folder is not in avast! main folder - but rather in C:\ProgramData\..., just as written by Tech.

Maybe I'd ask... what Network Shield log exactly do you mean?

Presumably M3an 'means' ;D the default network shield log if you click on the Show Report File in the Network Shield section of the UI.

However, as I said there is little point in saving that file as there is nothing worthwhile in it, if there were any plans to include alert information, then it would be worthwhile to both him and avast helpers if he is reporting info about a detection they consider false, etc.

Since there are no Expert settings in the network shield there is no possibility of changing the data recorded in the Report File/Log file.
