Do you think avast should add a sandbox to the free version of avast?
I would really like to see that happen that would be great!

They need to eat... I mean, something should be rest to the professional (paid) version, like the Sandbox into AIS.

Yep, I agree with Tech. We are lucky to get it free. Let's not push it.

I buy at least one copy of a paid version and will continue to do that.

Absolutely not--no sandboxing for me unless it's strictly on demand and can also be an optional install or able to be completely disabled.

Even before avast's introduction of selective sandboxing in the Pro and avast AIS versions I never felt the need for a sandbox application (I'm well protected without it, not so for everyone though), so I don't feel the need now that is is in the pro and AIS versions to upgrade just for that.

As Tech said there have to be differences in the free and paid versions or what incentive is there to get the paid options if it is a feature you feel you need. Some have suggested a free firewall as well and then you are in the area of a free version of AIS, so no there have to be differences.

I agree that a sandbox should be a staple of the paid version. The free version should be an AV that everyone can understand.  ;)

If the free version had a sandbox, then there would be no point in upgrading to the Pro Version. Therefore, no one would buy the product and there would be a drop in revenue. Lets keep things as it is.  ;)

1. No.
2. You can use Sandboxie, if you need a free sandbox... (http://www.sandboxie.com/)
