No need to send the file anywhere. Executable name tels everything. Just delete it (Repairing is only for infections and not for stand-alone files of trojan/worm type).

Click on the link in my signature and follow the instructions there to completely clean your system.

Do not send files containing (suspected) viruses to users on this forum, even not when they ask for it, unless they are a member of the Alwil team. Which will be mentioned on the left in their profile.

Users do NOT need those files in order to help you!

also change all your passwords & use more secure ones..

Please tell me why in the worls you would ask some one to send you a virus or a trojan?
These files are either sent to avast! for analysis and then deleated or, deleated right away.
I sure as all heck don't want anyone to send me a live virus even if it's password protected. ??? ??? ??? ???

Can't you just check and see without having them sent to you, like the VPS history on the Avast website?
Or just email these virus program companies?

Stephan123, There is just one great big flaw in that statement.
If the virus is not caught, Your system is infected and will possibly be busy passing that infection on to others.

Stephan123,

1) You do not want viruses on your system
2) You can test the av progs with the EICAR test file
3) This is not the first time you ask people to send you a virus
4) If you want to help people in this forum, do it the right way

Stephan's wish & arguments for wanting to test his AV's (& their detection capabilities) imho aren't unsound ...
if
- he really knows what he's doing -> There is such a thing as an on-Demand-scanner).
- he doesn't want to use the samples for any illicit stuff

(The alternative AV-testing/checking methods proposed here aren't really as efficient for this as "the real thing")

However, imho this should be handled via PM/IM (or fishing in HJT-Logs) and not in the public forum (if at all) and best not involving noob's

Just my 0.02 €
