Yes, it is a problem

But you can opt out of installing Ask Toolbar

Must specify two things:
(1)when you first install (very first attempt!) the setup for Immunet 2 doesn't even ask you if you want to install or not the toolbar! :o
(2)if you abort the first installation, it will subsequently ask you wheter you'd like the Ask Toolbar or not. If your answer is no, it will all the same install some elements of the toolbar, the "skeleton" as it clearly appears in my Explorer Window under the exploitation tab:Ask toolbar quick view but as it is not installed and deactivated in IE it is only a skeleton.
Question now is are we closing an eye on this BAD behavior from the Immunet 2 creators in keeping the program the same or are we shunning away from it in protest!!! I admit it's hard to decide but they would deserve it if they don't give us a good explanation (their facebook forum, for exemple)

ASK TOOLBAR removed from the latest version 2.0.11.4

For some users

You won't get this version when you click update

You need to go to the website and download the installer

No more toolbars!

I would recommend you stay away from Immunet because it has been blacklisted by hpHosts.

http://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s=immunet.com

If you go to that link it says the site is NOT listed with them and to disregard any warnings from things such as Site Advisor.

I have been using a small atomic bomb lately with the disasterous new update 5.0.584 that made my XP Pro system catatonic

Thank goodness for Acronis True Image restoration. 8)

Was that with the free version or one of the paid ones?

I have a disastrous 5.0.584 update also... But I thought the problem was elsewhere.
Long boot time, freezing, and so on.
I've restored an old Comodo Time Machine snapshot.

It is good to have recovery software.

Immunet was probably the cause of my XP Pro system to self distruct.
