aswdisp.exe problem

Hi all!
I'm using avast! 4 home edition under Winnt4.0, ServicePack 6a,
but my computer now often hangs up and logging out tells an aswdisp.exe error. What's the problem and what's the solution?

I'm sorry, the task-manager message is "asw Disp helper window" error
