avast! AV Beta-Version [7.0.1468]

Ich zitiere diesmal einfach wörtlich den originalen Post (in englisch), weil es eine kleine Neuerung bei den Beta Versionen gibt (fett markiert):

Hi all,

I'm glad to announce first public beta of an upcoming program update of avast! Free AV / Pro AV / Internet Security  (version 7.0.1468).

We try really hard to deliver the best product with every avast! release however during the inhouse testing we cannot cover all the configurations which are used by our humongous community of users. Users participating in the Beta program are using the latest development build. They are enjoying the latest features which the rest of the world will see when the product is officially released and published. If you like living on the edge then the Beta program is right for you. And the last but not least reason why you should care - by reporting the problems of your computer and your configuration, during the Beta stage of program, you are helping to deliver a product which will work in your environment correctly without any unexpected hickups.

This program update contains the following major features:
* Outlook plugin
  - Fixed crashes
  - Fixed unwanted subject changing
  - Improved performance
* Improved stability of WebRep plugins
* Better tracking of BETA experience (automatic reporting of build stability)
* Improved performace and stability
* Compatibility with Win8 Action Center

Known issues:
* Win8 problems - work in progress (should be ready next week in the second beta)
  - WebRep plugin for IE
  - Glitches in METRO UI
  - Sandbox stability
* avast! Free registration is not working

It should be possible to install this version on top of your existing avast! installation (all settings should be preserved).

Any feedback is appreciated.

To be updated, please check our new BETA Program page - http://www.avast.com/beta

Thanks for your help!

Pavel

avast! AV Beta-Version [8.0.1476]

Changelog:
- You'll immediately notice the new GUI. We are excited to hear your feedback
- The Software Updater is a new tool for helping you keep apps up to date. Give it a try :-)
- There is also a Browser Cleanup tool; it's a standalone utility for getting rid of invasive toolbars. This utility is also integrated in all avast! editions just to make things simpler.
- Other improvements have been made to our FileRep and WebRep to help keep identify new threats in near real-time.
- And finally, our Streaming Updates make sure you have the lastes virus definitions.
- There is a new product tier called Premier, it includes 3 new features:
  • Data Shredder for wiping files, drives, and partitions
  • Software Updater in autoupdate mode
  • AccessAnywhere for remotely connecting to your PC no matter where you are

Known issues in this version:
- Win8 is unsupported by this build (but Win8 compatibility is coming soon, of course)
- Except English, there are many translation issues

- After facebook registration setup might crash so reboot is required to start avast! service
- During softrial gui is not correctly updated
- Data shredder cannot shred files and partitions (GUI bug)
- There might be stability issues with Outlook plugins
- UI might hang sometimes during connecting to avast! account
- Some online content does not fit or is not translated yet
