Problem with antivirus base and language updating

Installed 5.0.456 home at several machines (adviced it to some friends). At 2 of them pre-reinstalled OS (win xp sp3). At 3 of 6 machines (1 is with pre-reinstall) can not download language pack (russian) and updates too. Registered it, each time restarted few times a machine, no good results. When tryingto update, just staying on initializing, when trying to download language - thinks some time, then gives a "language setup error" 0X2000000A. Google does not know how to solve this problem, if you could help me please, tell me what can happen?.. Firewall was only at 1 machine. Win firewall tried to turn off, no any differ. I liked new version very much, looks protective, powerfull and pretty. The only thing is freak russian font - very hard to read it, even to see. Though if they can not update antivirus program they should not use it at all..

Does anybody know, what happens? People, help me, please...

This is an outdated version.
The latest stable build is 5.0.545.
The latest PR build is 5.0.584.

I understand that, so I wrote the version, talking about. But you want to say, that it is not supported already, it is about a month old...

He isn't saying that it isn't supported, just that it isn't the latest version, nothing else.

There is little point in trying to track down a fault in an old program version, as we don't know if the latest stable version (or the pre-release version) may have resolved that problem.

it's a pitty, but although within all respect (I see you have a mega long post history here) each pro soft have a changes history also. Who does if not you (and tech support  :-[) can tell me was it resolved or not? If somebody has seen this problem, tell me, please... very dumb situation for me... do not see any logs in OS, could not find logs on program files\alwil\avast (honestly did not tried very much, because of much less time to have sex with foreign machines...

So tell them to update to the latest stable build. (5.0.545)
