Well, what I know there isn't an internation standard for viruses names
They're joined into groups and families, named by some hacker or antivirus company, etc. This can vary a little from one company to another, specially with the variants and polimorphic virus.
Of course, an expert opinion is needed here. Maybe someone from Alwil or our expert users (
whocares, raman...).
