problem with sandbox...

hello.

my issue is this---almost everytime i try to open internet explorer in sandbox, the connection fails. it says internet explorer has encountered a problem and stopped working. sometimes it will open on the first try, but usually i have to retry several times before it will open up in sandbox. any suggestions?? tia.


i have a brand new viao with windows 7. avast is my only antivirus and i guess i have the windows firewall or whatever turned on. not really sure 'cause i'm computer dumb, but everything else works fine except for this problem. it's a 64 bit system but i use 32 bit ie because adobe flash player doesn't work on 64 bit systems.

I.E. is greek to me, so I couldn't say for sure.
Posting some system specs will help others help you, though.
OP System, 32 or 64bit, other security programs, virtual/sandbox programs, etc.

If you have not grabbed it, a program update just came out, that might help also.
You can update from the maintenance section of Avast! UI.

You could also try a different browser to see if its something related to IE or all browsers, if you have not already.

First avast 5.0.594 has just been released so I would advise doing a manual update from the avastUI if you haven't already got it as there is little point in trying to resolve this in an old version, if the problem may have been fixed in the latest version.
