I mostly use the Heise Netzwerk-Tools. (http://www.heise.de/netze/Netzwerk-Tools-475022.html)
Sorry, they are german only, but you could still use them, I guess...! ;)

Ich habe auch einige Deutsche Websites angemerkt, wenn du sehst, serversniff ist auch auf Deutsch da: http://serversniff.de/index.php

unfortunately they only allows 20 lookups for free per day ::)

You have to be careful with that site because they are actually reading your IP address, so I would not use that site since I don't think it is that secure unless they have changed things since I went on it accidentally a long time ago.  Now I stay away from it.

Every site I have ever been to that lets you track IP's also tells you what yours is. The Shields Up site does the same thing. I hardly think that's a reason to stay away. It's an indication of the site's capabilities if anything. For that matter, every site you go to knows your IP address. They just don't tell you.
