sorry I didn 't understand: when I have installed avast 5 it told me that F-Secure Anti-virus (I seem to remember that this program was installed on my computer at the same time as Windows XP SP2 (SP3 now))was active and there was a risk of conflict but my problem is I do not find the place or is F-Secure Anti-virus but I'm looking ...

I have done a quick scan (File: 42065 - Records: 9667 - volumes of data tested: 15.5 GB) and nothing has been found but I am aware that this is not worth a thorough scan.

I think your problem is that you have 2 resident (active) antivirus (AV) programs on your machine -- Avast and F-Secure.  You can only run one resident AV on your machine at a time.  It sounds like you want Avast, so you need to DELETE F-Secure.  To do this, go to Control Panel > Click on Add/Remove Programs > a new window will open up and in this new window look for F-Secure > when you find F-Secure click on it and there will be a button that says "Change/Remove."  After you have done this, reboot your machine twice.  Go back into Control Panel > Click on Add/Remove Programs and see if F-Secure is now gone.

My worry now is that I do not find this anti-virus (F-Secure), I think I'll have to look manually since is not in listings ds programs.
