But, I uninstalled Avast, I deleted all register keys containing "avast" or "alwil", I installed Avast again, AND NOW EVERYTHING IS OK !!

Why the Avast removal tool (aswclear5.exe) is not as efficient as I am ??!!

It depends on what keys you are talking about ?
If they are Legacy keys, they are under the control of the OS and will be removed when required by the OS and they shouldn't be an issue.

David, I read this in avast forum more than once. I think Igor says the same.
My personal experience is that the OS deletes nothing and remove nothing about legacy keys.
To me, it's a myth.

I don't know as that is where I got it from also, but the legacy key I would have though would be for the new AV when installed, if you were actually installing a new AV, otherwise I would have thought it would be changed.

Even when I've changed the antivirus, legacy keys are there.
Even when I've changed incompatible software (firewalls to each other, RollBack and CTM, etc.), keys are there.
