Where can I find the New Avast and Avast Cleaner

I have the new Avast. My father wants me to help him download it to his computer. Where exactly do I find the new Avast and Cleaner. I did find it reading the posts, but can not remember what thread to go to? Thanks so much.

- Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, aswClear5.exe find it here and save it to your HDD (it has uninstall tools for both 4.8 and 5.0).

Thank you DavidR. Long story short. My dad has Windows XP and his home page Bing. Being completely different then looking at my Vista, but we finally downloaded the newest Avast. (took a couple hours as his is also a bit slower)  I also went to add/remove programs to uninstall Skybot? from his computer as I had read here, there would be conflict? Avast is running fantastic on my Vista. Is there anything on my dad's Window XP that we need to be made aware of? I also told him to just look around and do not change any settings as you told me to. Thank you so much, again, for your wonderful help.

could be sign of malware perhaps. as you say your dads computer is slow. did this happen before or after you installed avast on your fathers computer?

if after try scan with avast and see if it comes up with somethiing. if so send it to the chest. another program that is used here is malwarebytes and superantispyware. that is highly recommenden to download and use for an second opion.

if before what was the antivirusprogram before avast and how did you uninstallet it?

have you other programs running that can slow down the computer like a firewall, other programs that run at windows start up and so one?
