turning off voice message
« on: July 26, 2004, 01:48:45 AM »
Hello,

I just downloaded Avast Home and got a voice message telling me the program successfully updated. Will I get this message each time I update? If so, is there a way to turn it off?

Sure, two ways to do it.

1) Start Avast, goto the settings and disable sounds there.
2) Goto the sound settings in the control panel of your OS and change it there

This is also explained in the manual that comes with Avast :)

In both places you can also choose other sounds to use if you wish to do so.

Thanks a million. I had assumed that once the Avast icon was in my system tray the program already was open. Now I know better.
