Error 10048

I am receiving an error from the Avast system when I log into my system.  Here is the message:

"Avast will not be able to protect outgoing mail (SMTP protocol)
Error 10048

Port 25 is already in use, specify another port value (see section "Cooperation
with other software' in Manual Settings of Mail Protection' in help"

I've been using avast for a while and this just started happening, out of the blue.  Any suggestions would be great.

If you're using OE, then close it down. go to start.... programs.... select avast! antivirus and then Mail Protection Wizzard. Follow the directions and then reboot.
