« on: July 30, 2010, 08:54:22 PM »
I think my PC has a virus but Avast doen't find one. E-mail loads slow and Web looses connection sometimes out of nowhere, then just the top two lights on the modem communicating. Modem won't let me turn it off so I unplug ethernet cord from it till lights straighten out... What shall I do... Elmo 1869

Well you could try some other tools:
If you haven't already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it and report the findings (it should product a log file).

Don't worry about reported tracking cookies they are a minor issue and not one of security, allow SAS to deal with them though. - See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie.
Also available a portable version of SAS, http://www.superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html, no installation required.
