Entering License Key

I have version 5.0.594 and it is not currently running because it says I need to enter the license key.  I've been told that you right click the blue ball in the tray and left click on 'license key' or something similar.  Problem is, I don't have a blue ball in the tray.  I have an Icon that says that the program has stopped running.  I can right click on that icon and get to the user interface for Avast but it doesn't give me the option to enter my license key anywhere.  I have tried to website and it has lots of links for things such as 'license registration'  'license resend' etc... but nowhere does it allow me to enter my license key.  Any ideas?

There is no Blue ball in avast5 that was avast 4.8 the avast5 icon is Orange.

What happens when you left click on the Orange avast icon ?
