problem with avast 5 firewall e Free download Manager

Hi,
I can not run the service 'downlaod from ftp'/'browse ftp' on free download manager, I found that the problem is on the avast  firewall becouse I can operate the two services only with the firewall turned off.
Any ideas?

I added FDM in the avast firewall list "application rules" as a safe program ("all connections") without specifying the input and output ports that it uses (in this setting avast sect default to 'ALL' ports or inbound and outbound).

The problem arises only for FTP (ftp downloads ftp server and scans), the other download with FDM work.

@SafeSurf: I tried to configure fdm as recommended in the help of avast but nothing has changed.

Sunday I tried to set a download with the setting "use passive mode" and the download work but the browser ftp don't work.
