email protection
« on: July 29, 2004, 09:19:47 PM »
Hi, I'm currently using AVG but would love to try avast!
I'm running win98SE, and I'm using Netscape 7 as my email client instead of Outlook. According to my settings,
the server is POP1, port is 110.
You mention POP3, but I'm not sure what the difference is between the various POPs!
Will avast! still be able to scan incoming emails?
Regards, pdf

POP1? Never heard of such a thing (which doesn't mean it doesn't exist), but I'm quite sure in your case they are the same "POPs". So, there shouldn't be any problems with the protection.
