Avast 4.8 on vista problem

Hi!

I have installed avast on vista service pack 1 familial, and I don't have the orange icone of avast in the task bar..

Can't someone help me with that problem ( i can't even log in avast .. it's say log in the log files of...)

avast 4.8 is the old program and have a blue icon

The new avast 5.0.594 have the orange icon   http://filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/

Vista is also at SP2 now I believe, so you should update your Operating System.

Yes, update Vista and get Avast! 5, not 4.8. You also may have to install the Microsoft C++ 2008 redistibutable package if the Avast! installer does not do it correctly.
