Should be solved in version 5.0.677

Avast Free Version the Behavior shield with the new Release (avast 5.0.677) is not showing any scanning done at all today for the shield.
OS: Windows 11 64-bit
Webbrowser: Mozilla Firefox
PC Specs: Intel i5-12400f, Nvidia RTX 3050, 16gb ram, 1.5TB SSD(s).

Seems started to work for me.
i stopped the shield and i turned it back on now so im going to see if the shield works for me now.  BTW what is the Behavior shield for anyways?

so wait the Shield won't work on 64-bit? ???

There is no Behavior Shield definitions for 64bit, so if you enable it, you can't see any activities on 64bit OSes.

For your information, it was really one of the MS security updates released in August (namely, the fix for MS10-047) that caused this issue.

Interesting indeed, I guess that's what happens if you rely on undocumented stuff. At least it was written sufficiently defensively so that it didn't start crashing or something...  ;)
