Can't get paid license

Just got home from repair shop where I had to pay a lot of money to have viruses removed from my computer.  The very first thing I did was purchase a two year subscription to Avast.  The license file has been emailed to me in the form of an attachment and a link.  I cannot open either one.  Can anyone help?

Welcome to the forum,
Download the attachment to a place where you can find it, (Desktop)
Once you've installed avast!, and rebooted your system, simply go to the downloaded file and
double click on it. It will register your Pro version.

My husband purchased a subscription April 3, 2010.  Avast was electronically paid April 5, 2010.  We continually get pop ups that say that the Free Trial Subscription has run out.  DUH!!

Please make it STOP!  We think avast turns on our computer from sleep mode every morning at 7 a.m. wanting us to purchase a subscription.  WE HAVE ALREADY DONE THAT!

Anything my husband received - confirmations, etc. - are gone!  Can't be found.

PLEASE HELP.

Like I said - Whatever confirmation, e-mail, license number, etc. is gone.  My husband can't find it!
