Yahoo now uses Bing search results in Canada & US
« on: August 26, 2010, 01:42:04 AM »
Hi forum friends,

Yahoo now uses BING search results in Canada and USA, around Christmas time this year Yahoo will also use MS's Adcenter, and other countries will follow Canada and USA using just BING search results in the coming weeks and months (now they use 25%), so the major search players left will be Google and BING and of-course the occasional dogpile web search and Ixquick for me  ;D
Just notice that Yahoo Japan is powered by Google and this gives Google almost a monopoly share (67%) in the global search market, only in China (Baidu) and Russia (Yandex) markets they had any competition. Will the merger between Yahoo and BING deliver a better competitor for Google, we doubt it,

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Am I the only user of Alta Vista?
Packard Motorcars said "Ask the man who owns one". They're not in business anymore.
