Avast 5 disables network driver after hibernate.
« on: August 21, 2010, 06:24:42 PM »
Hi,

I just upgraded to Avast 5 Network Security from Avast 4 on my Windows 7 Ultimate system. Now every time my system comes out of hibernation, the Ethernet network device is disabled and I need to reboot to fix. I looked at the Avast Firewall logs and settings but did not find anything. Any ideas what may be causing this issue?

Thanks

Ray

Did you install over 4 or was it a fresh install ?

Upgraded from what ?

avast doesn't disable, but scans and alerts to infection, which I guess isn't happening or you would have said.

If there appears to be some form of disabling/blocking then there is something else going on and that is likely to be some sort of conflict.

What other security software do you have installed ?
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security
