IE settings - can't download files!
« on: September 02, 2010, 03:23:12 PM »
Dear Forum,

Can anybody please advise how to change my IE settings back so that I can download files again?

I was mucking around (as usual!) with IE settings, and somehow I have managed to change one of the security settings.

When I download an .exe file from the web (using Firefox!!!), the download box comes up but the file shows '0 bytes'.

Thanks in advance!

Sorted!

For those who experience this problem in the future, you have to change these options:

1. File download - Enable

2. Launching applications and unsafe files - Prompt (recommended)

Don't you love people like me who muck around with settings? :-)
