Well, cloud is the new word for cluster or better for heap of servers...

We have heap of servers that are delivering the updates, heap of servers gaining the samples, heap of servers analyzing them and heap of servers making the virus database update.
So it is cloud of clouds, who's da king? :)

Cloud in this context means on line scanning (upload/test/give the results).
This avast does not offer.
Comodo offers this with 15 minutes delay (promised).

Comodo's philosophy of cloud tech differs from the one offered by Panda. While Panda offers inverse pattern matching and heuristics, Comodo prefers to upload entire files to their servers for verification and then getting back the results.

Comodo also runs it in virtual space, i.e., make a behavior scanning simulating all the file (executable) actions.

Prevx does both of what you both describe in Comodo and Panda excluding the virtual space.  Nice compliment with Avast and as you know saved my butt a few weeks ago.  :o
