Firefox stopped 3.6.9 updates

I came across this problem when I was trying to update my Firefox 3.6.6 to 3.6.9 on a Linux PC.

I tried to manually update it but I got a response that it is already updated and there are no more updates

Upon further investigation, I found out that there is a severe bug in 3.6.9 that they are trying to sort it out.

So for the time being, all updates are stopped but you can download it from the main site.

Now this is Day 2 without updates for me.

Seen no issues with 3.6.9 windows version.

Go to Help>About and see what version you really have. I thought I was having a problem and it wasn't. Update should be from Admin. account or  Run as Admin.

Actually if you read this bug that is posted below, you will read a line which says

Please turn off the 3.5.12 and 3.6.9 updates while we investigate bug 595239.

The bug in Fx 3.6.9 has been fixed.  Fx 3.6.10 is out.

got another laptop here (on W7/64 too) that got firefox updated automatically to 3.69 without any problem but okay, if 3.6.10 is there now

edit: but now that I'm thinking about it, this laptop with FF 3.69 was left idle with FF opened for a while earlier today, and I found it on a constant 100% CPU load...from Firefox, so may be time to upgrade again yes
