problems in reading newsgroup messages..

Help><! i hv problem in reading newsgroup message after i hv installed avast!......
i cant read any messages in newsgroups with outlook.......
it said there's no such a newsgroup or no this message in the newsgroup.....
wht's wrong.......wht can i do??

I'm asuming your using Outlook .......... (Express ?) not MS Outlook.

Check the account settings for your newsgroup account, it may have been treated as an email account by the Mail Protection Wizard.

Check one of your email accounts details and see what changes are made so that emails are routed through avast's mail protection and make sure your newsgroup settings haven't been changed.

My newsgroup account settings (in OE6) wern't changed (but I haven't used them for some considerable time) so I decided to check them and I can't connect to my newsgroup account either. Now works, see edit below

Edit: It has been so long  since I used my newsgroup account that they have changed the domain name. Having found out the new domain and entered that it works fine (as it used to).

So it would appear that this is not an avast related problem, if your account settings haven't been changed.

after i hv uninstalled avast, reset the newsgroup, installed avast again...it works now...
