i cant open one of my file

ive downloaded this proxy server called ultra surf but avast keeps saying this proxy server is a virus and i know that its how do i prevent that ive tried clicking report file as a false positive and it says that it will change after next update so ive updated it and still blocks it and its not the only thing it blocks and i wont delete avast because it so much better than avg

What is the malware name, the infected file name, where was it found e.g. (malware name, C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx) ?

It doesn't say it will change after the next update, but it will be uploaded for analysis after the next update. It takes time to analyse and correct the signature if confirmed as an FP. Avast are generally quick to correct once acknowledged, but it certainly wouldn't be after the next update.

You could also check the offending/suspect file at: VirusTotal - Multi engine on-line virus scanner and report the findings here the URL in the Address bar of the VT results page. You can't do this with the file securely in the chest, you need to extract it to a temporary (not original) location first, see below.

Create a folder called Suspect in the C:\ drive. Now exclude that folder in the File System Shield, Expert Settings, Exclusions, Add, type (or copy and paste) C:\Suspect\*
That will stop the File System Shield scanning any file you put in that folder.
