Boot scan log?
« on: August 06, 2004, 07:39:38 PM »
I just completed a Boot Time Scan, there were three files that weren't moved. Where is the BTS log stored?

Thanks in advance!

avast4\data\report contains scanning report (the thing you're probably looking for),
avast4\data\log contains the general log.

Thanks Vlk!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I love the Boot Time Scan! It even scans and moves crud from Restore Points!

Start avast and click "Menu". About half way down the menu you will see "Schedule boot-time scan"... click it.

AA55US, are you using Windows 2k/XP?
Do you have any other security application that prevents adding avast at boot time?

You could check avast4\data\report\aswboot.txt and see if there are details of your scheduled boot scan.

AA55US, scanning into the boot time scanning is a feature of NT systems (2k or XP). Windows 9x does not have this feature. It's not an 'avast' limitation but a windows' one.  :'(
