As Avast users know,

There are still tons of companies that require the use of the big commercial Anti-Virus and security programs, because among other things, they get reciprocity deals if they install their software in bulk.  I have a friend who's company requires Norton for their AV/Security for their office systems.  It is well known that Avast is much better than Norton.  But has Norton gotten any better, or is it still a resource hog?

Just as a side comparison, what about the other one? McAfee?

It is not more a resource hog.
McAfee had always a lower detection rate than Norton and, most of the times, of avast itself.
Can you show the corporate guys what they are missing on not having avast? ;)

I wish I could!  I told my friend how great Avast was though and he seemed impressed by this!
