MotoGP is the motorcycle world's equivalent of Formula 1 racing, whereas FIM Superbike racing is similar to Touring Car racing.

Why would it cost a lot of money, it shouldn't be much more costly than a standard BIOS chip.

Yes they are probably going to try to charge a premium for it, but it is just another motherboard component/chip.
