Yep, I'm on Dial Up.

What I like about Portable Opera is that when you click on that X to shut it down ...
BAMM!  It shuts down instantaneously.

Actually, to a certain extent, Portable Opera even works better than regular Hard Drive Opera.  The only thing that ends up annoying me is that Portable Opera has periodic PAUSES ... Mini Lockups if you will.  Then again, that's probably just due to my slow, underpowered computer with Non-Fast USB Ports.

Try it with a Download Manager?
Nah.  I gave up on Download Managers during the weekend.
I kicked to the curb all 3 that I tried.

If you dont mind google collecting you browsing habit's go chrome for xp and ie9 for vista and 7.

Thanks again for your advice, shall google....hope chrome is compatible with both Yahoo & Windows live.......after uninstalling Opera, yahoo messenger does not show any new mails even if present when logged in...may be coz I made it my default browser or could have made some registry changes?

Chrome is super on XP vs. Opera.............lightening fast & versatile..........Opera was boggy on XP.

Correct again YoKenny  ;)........”BUGGY”......bog down the machine......Chrome is extremely versatile & very responsive best browser in my view for XP.

Boggy made as much sense to me as buggy, in australia when someone use's the term boggy it is assumed that you are meaning slow, bogged down  ;D

Correct.......boggy or bloated.......here in Islamabad & Orlando it implies the same....not with flaws but one that slows or puts a load. 8)

No blurry pics with Opera!

On my 7 64bit system 64bit IE is faster than IE 32bit.  No surprise there.

But Opera (at only 32bit) beats IE 64bit! ;D 8)

Tried Chrome, the only speed contest it won on my computer was....

I got it off my computer faster than any other browser. ;D ;D ;D

People that use IncrediMail and ZoneAlarm need not respond as both are quite bloated and un-necessary.

IncrediMail is for the people that like Flowers in their email and ZoneAlarm has gone into the dark side!

I've told you before I don't do backgrounds and other junk.

I do plain emails.

I wanted a free mail client with a notifier & folders.

I asked you to recommend one since you complained about me using IncrediMail.

Where's your recommendation ???

ZA is the only firewall without problems, does an excellent  job & isn't bloated.

I've tried a zillion fw's, ZA is the best!  It has a permanent home on my computers!

I've tried a zillion a/v's, avast! has a permanent home on my computers.

You don't have to use ZA nor IncrediMail, so quit your belly aching.

Maybe Pepcid will help. ;D ;D ;D

Chrome, IE, FF & Opera are 32bit browsers.

I threw in IE 64bit for comparison.
