the AAVM subsytem detected RPC error

I just started using avast....what does this message mean? It shows when I click the icon on the bottom of my screen.

RPC is Remote Procedure Call a Windows essential service.
Go Administrative Tools > Services.
Set both avast services to automatically run on Windows startup.
Boot.

If this not work, try to repair your avast installation (Control Panel).
Do you have any other antivirus installed?

Read THIS website.

Also make sure your system is up-to-date. Visit THIS SITE and make sure you have ALL security patches/updates installed.

Seriously, the Administrative Tools are in the Control Panel. You know where Control Panel is, don't you...? ;)
