Just removed it from a neighbors PC. Boot to safe mode then open task manager and kill hotfix.exe. Run new task explorer.exe. This will get you to the desktop. I just ran Anti-Malware Portable from a USB stick. Run full system scan. Fix the issues and your good to go!

Oh yeah and if your using Internet Explorer make sure it isn't using a proxy.

The same thing hit my friend's pc a couple of days ago...i used hitmanpro to clean it [force breach method and then scan]...no need to to do tedious steps and no tinkering with registry...i hope 5.1 bb catches all this

No security program have 100% detection....

Yes, this is true. However, Avast has saved my "backside" more times than I can remember. Thanks for a great service!
