Help With Internet explorer 8 png photo types

Hello,  I try going to a tinypic.com link with the photo .png type and internet explorer will not display it instead it asks me to download it this started tonight after an Avast Virus Database update  ??? please help ???

I Fixed it i went to Control panel and changed the filetype for png file type to ie than back to photo viewer and now its working right.

So i must have been a glitch in windows not with avast Virus database update
