« on: October 22, 2010, 04:27:36 AM »
so i finally decided to install the pro trial and when using the sandbox, firefox cannot connect to the internet, it just says i have no internet access in firefox, ive tried at first to only allow browsers to connect to the internet with the browser option and i also tried the option to allow internet access for all sandboxed applications but that doesnt let me connect either

Strange.. with Default Settings and Sandboxed Firefox, it works for me. Try to check your Settings again - You never know...

-Check your firewall

If not your Firewall, and you can't still connect with SANDBOXED BROWSER but can connect WITHOUT sandboxed browser, then I suggest you try to do a clean install/Repair

well strange, i didnt figure id need to allow so many rules just for the sandbox, i had to put my firewall into learning mode because avasts sandbox is trying to make so many rules for it to connect.

it keeps trying to get SYSTEM to connect to TCP 12080 OVER and OVER again... i think ive gone through about 30-40 popups now and its still going, there no way i can keep my sanity without putting this into learning mode cuz the avast sandbox will not stop making new internet connections hence a new firewall popup

Oh, didnt see the last bit - better get some glasses  8)

Back to problem:
-Try to reinstall(Even though would not help)

But, can you leave like that for some min. I think Avast! Sandbox needs many configured rules before it can run perfectly - I shall test it out on my PC now.

ye a reinstall is not gunna stop the avast sandbox from making rediculous amounts of connection requests... can someone from avast actually comment on this please cuz im really starting to think its a good thing i didnt pay for this... i dont understand why a sandbox would ask for so many connections on TCP 12080 wen something like sandboxie does not...
