Please download the Winsockfix Utility (depending on your OS) to see if this fixes your problem:

Hi there...

Im getting the exact same error message on Windows 7 Pro is there anyting yo resolve this... Removed avast, re installed updated... Web Shield still off...

Did you look at first post of SafeSurf in this topic?

Yes i still have the Web Shield turned off.. Why?

Your link to the Winsock Fix for the Webshield problem solved my problems! Thanks so much.  I couldn't find the fix for XP and your link gave me just what I needed.  I've been beating my head against the wall on this issue for days.  Thanks again.
