update error

Just installed avast on 10/22 and the update failed due to server connection failure. I checked our internet connection and it's good, but avast still can't update. I have Windows XP.

Welcome to forum!

open avast and in top-right click on settings, go to Updates tab, in the bottom of window click on Proxy.
Choose Direct Connection and then click Ok. try to update again, I hope it works now.
