Not sure if that's the correct topic, but guess it suits best for my problem.

My avast! 4.8 Professional registration key expires @ 7th Feb 2015.  Avast! 4.8 Professional was installed for a fee by the salesmen at the dealership I bought my notebook at. I get the annoying messages offering me to upgrade to FREE version of avast! 5, while I have bought a license for avast! 4.8 and it did not expired yet. What should I do?

did u buy it from a reputable store? because idk of any legit licenses that go till 2015...

It must be a cracked version of Avast! 4.8 . You can't buy a legit Avast! licence that lasts longer than 3 years.

If the registration key is legit you can update to pro.
But I somehow doubt it, as it expires in 2015...
Talk to the salesman, who installed it.

Pure Capitalists allow users to have free voice and expression.

I cannot think about any socialist forum that will give you another chance to post the same content again and again.

I don't think, users are allowed even to question them.

You will be kicked out of the forum very soon.

Socialists don't innovate, whereas capitalists do.

The spread of the internet and technology are the work of globalization.

But I do accept the fact, that popping up upgrade to version 5 more than once or twice to a paid user is really annoying, then should be an option not to show it again.

Your professional key is not genuine, but pirated or cracked. See Vlk's comment here, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=65394.msg552489#msg552489

So best that you go back to the person that sold it as at best you have been the subject of fraud, at worst you know that this is a pirated/cracked version.

I will give the benefit of doubt, but that license isn't genuine and why the pop-ups are happening and why you will have to either buy avast5 pro license or downgrade to avast5 free.

I know that avast team can detect this cracked versions.
I know they "freewarize" the products to "keep" the customer.
What I can't understand is why a security software does show it can be cracked (at least is what we're reading here in forums). My 0.02.

I really don't like comparing his issue with capitalism.

Yeah, I didn't read the whole posts, so I guess, he is a pirated user
